The General Index in Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) closed at 1,308.84 posting losses of 0.45%, in a turnover of €228.45mn.

The Finance Minister Mr. Yannis Stournaras appeared to deny reports that Greece is set to return to bond markets as early as this week. He said that Greece will return by the summer, within the first half of the year, adding that there is no rush. Note that sources have indicated that Greece will aim to raise in excess of €2bn, when it does issue its first sovereign bond since 2010.

The Public Debt Management Agency will auction six-month treasury bills, worth €1bn today.

The value of exports in February amounted to €2.05bn (-7%), while the value of imports at the same month amounted to €4.03bn (+1.6%).
