GREEK FINANCIAL MARKET

The General Index in Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) closed at 896.11 posting significant losses of 3.33%, in a turnover of €54.13mn.

The ECB member Mr. Asmussen will visit Athens today to meet among others the Prime Minister Mr. Samaras and the Finance Minister Mr. Stournaras in order to discuss about the Greek adjustment program and wider euro area developments.

The German Finance Minister Mr. Wolfgang Schäuble stated that Greece will most likely require a third aid package. Nevertheless, he ruled out the possibility of a further debt haircut, reiterating the German government’s stance on the matter.

Corporate Impacts

  • ΟΤΕ: The Turkish companies Dogus Holding and Sabanci Group demonstrated their interest in participation in the privatisation of the Telekom Srbija telecommunications company. Please note that OTE holds 20% of Telekom Srbija.
  • Intralot: S&P’s upgraded the rating of the company to Β+ from Β- previously with stable outlook.
